Oscar Niemeyer changed the way we see architecture. With his bold curves and visionary designs, he helped shape Brasília and redefine modernism.
This documentary podcast explores the life, work, and contradictions of one of the most influential architects of the 20th century — from political ideals to monumental buildings that still define Brazil today.

Episode 1: Birth if a vision

At the end of the 1930s, a young Oscar Niemeyer begins to challenge the rules of architecture. This episode traces his path from Rio de Janeiro to Pampulha, where his signature curves first take shape, and on to the Copan in São Paulo. It’s the beginning of a vision that will later redefine how people live together.

Episode 2: A new Brazil

The Copan building — once a vision of social living, today a lived reality. Through the voices of two generations, we see what remains of that idea. From there, the story moves to Brasília — Niemeyer’s greatest project — and to the political tensions that would ultimately lead to the military coup.

Episode 3: Exile & later years
